Re: 97 FZR600 parts cluster/gauges w/ new speedo cable

Gauge cluster has been delivered to Harrysf707...and I was told the tach he needed out of it is working great for him.

Good things can happen on the internet :D

Re: crazy turn sugnals

Got it working? Offtopic: What models/years have the self-canceling circuit? My 97 has/had the self canceling circuit... I have the turn signals working great at the moment without the marker side of the lights hooked up. To get the marker lamps to work along with the turn signals I'll have to inst...

Re: Installing a DanMoto 180 cockpit

Cool write up. The only comment I have is that the Hitachi-style gauge connectors are readily available from Corsa Technic. For an '89 600, you want 1x A6AP (Natural) and 1x A9AP (Natural). For the 400s and other years of 600, you want 1x A6AP (Natural) and 1x A6AP (Black). The different colours ar...

Installing a DanMoto 180 cockpit

I'll just put this here for anyone else thinking of using the Danmoto 180 digital cockpit gauges. Cut off the connectors from the OEM gauges, leaving enough wire to solder and heatshrink the connector leads to the Danmoto wiring. Or use other connectors if you plan on saving or selling off your old ...

Re: crazy turn sugnals

That's the trigger wire that tells the self-cancelling circuit to start the timer. :notworthy: So that means.... no longer needed! Thanks I will be using a Tridon EP29 LED flasher...It's a 4 pin,so the middle pin out of the row of three won't be used. I've bench tested it and it should wor...

Re: crazy turn sugnals

Looking over the wiring schematic for the FZR600 turn signal circuits and looks as though I can get away with a 3 wire LED flasher. Even though the 4 wire one I have will also work, I just won't have to use one terminal. What I don't get is what the Yellow with red tracer wire from the OEM flasher t...

Re: crazy turn sugnals

My thoughts exactly,LOL.....I have a 4 pin LED relay on the way to wire in in place of the factory flasher module. It shouldn't be too hard to wire up. Four wires: Ignition +, Ground, signal, output. Really not too much different than the factory flasher except it doesn't have the speed cancel circu...

Re: crazy turn sugnals

The resistors are supposed to be wired in parallel, not in series. Wiring them in parallel, imitates the load of a filament bulb across the circuit, but doesn't reduce the voltage. Wiring the resistors in series will reduce the voltage to the lights, making them dim or some of the led's won't light a...

Re: Maybe go streetfighter with my FZR?

I have her just about complete. I lack mounting up the marker lights and the speed sensor. I really don't want to drill a hole through my rotor to mount the speed sensor pick-up magnet....so I think I'll hold off and get a rotor bolt mounted magnet. I tested the temp gauge last night. The fan comes ...

crazy turn sugnals

First off, I don't know how these worked before I got a hold of it, since all of the lighting was missing. anyway, on my 97 fzr600, I installed an integrated LED tail light and front and rear led marker/turn signal lamps. First of the weird: The turn signal lights are 3-wire lights, so they are desi...

Re: Maybe go streetfighter with my FZR?

I have my new Danmoto gauges wired up and working. I made a gauge mount/dash that fits perfectly to fill the forward edge of the upper triple clamp and around the ign. switch. The mount is stepped downward just in front of the ign. switch so the gauge pod sits about level with the upper triple clamp...

Re: Tach signal pulses?

yep, exactly. So as long as I can get the new gauge to be close, it'll be fine. I was thinking of what i could use the fuel gauge on the new cluster for...but I can'teven get it to do anything. if I short it to ground, nothing. if I connect it to power it freaks out the whole cluster....so I guess t...
